Water Conservation –
Check Dam & Ponds
Construction
At LT Foods, we have already generated 242 lakh litres of water for water scarce villages to use for irrigation and daily needs. Our programmes, some in collaboration with local authorities, are to build check dams for water conservation and to rejuvenate ponds for collecting rainwater. In the next 2 years, we are targeting to rejuvenate 100 ponds.
Objective of Check Dam construction was to reduce the wastages of rain waters & other running water sources and to promote water conservation as well. This helps in irrigation the farming land as well.
At LT Foods, we believe in responsible water management. To conserve this precious resource, we've built 3 new check dams and 3 new ponds across our operations. These structures capture vital rainwater, ensuring it's not wasted and can be used for irrigation. This initiative has already saved an impressive 242 lakh litres of water.
We're committed to sustainable practices, ensuring a brighter future for our communities and the planet.

Clean Drinking Water –
Community Water Filter
and Household Water
Filters

as the drinking water sources are contaminated with different
harmful elements with in the villages. The water from Hand-pumps
are also not healthy to drink without filtration. So to provide clean
drinking water facilities
Recognizing the challenges faced by local communities with contaminated water sources, LT Foods has installed 700 household water filters and 14 community RO water filters to provide clean water for local communities.
This initiative ensures safe drinking water for families and communities, contributing to a healthier future.

Water Wheels
Being a very dry area, the villagers of Chattarpur project location
face a great difficulties in carrying water to their homes from the
distant water sources during heavy summer. Carrying water on heads
or other hands caused great difficulties for the families.
As a solution to this, in 2022-23 we had distributed Water Wheels,
which were very easy to use and comfortable for any members of
the families to carry water from distances.
Beneficiaries: 200
The harsh summer months in Chattarpur often meant a long journey for villagers to collect water. Carrying heavy loads on their heads or hands was not only physically demanding but also time-consuming.
To ease this burden, LT Foods distributed water wheels in 2022-23. These innovative tools significantly reduced the time and effort required for water collection. With water wheels, families could now carry 45 liters of water in just 0.6 hours, compared to the 3 hours it previously took to carry 30 liters manually.
LT Foods is committed to improving the lives of our communities, and this initiative demonstrates our dedication to making a positive impact on daily life.
